Over the next 10 days, we are transforming our shop into an experiential exhibition that will take you to a warm, bright and unfamiliar world. Join us for @LucasMurnaghan 's first solo show and book launch ‘Beneath the Surface’.https://t.co/pTu1EJnOndpic.twitter.com/AuB6Z67ch5
and what have you even done?!? ONCE AGAIN WORLD WATER DAY IS A FLOOD OF GOOD INTENTIONS CASCADING DOWN UPON SOCIAL MEDIA AND WEBSITES IN GENERAL - JUST LOOK AT IT NOW:
It is simply SAD that DC, in its "infinite prone-to-periodic-crises though" wisdom (!) cannot or will not use the character of this "King of the Seven Seas" more often to champion just what he should be championing indeed: the preservation of the oceans and the worthiness of the sea life that these oceans are still teeming with (despite the best efforts of the surface polluters to do away with it, ALL, it would seem...! It is not their intent; but it sure as hell seems like it, oftentimes!)
Would it cost so much to have the sea hero (or the actor who portrays it) speak out in defense of these - at the cost of sidetracking away from the actual primary concern of A) making loads of money B) competing with the execrable rival, Marvel and C) making even more money... if possible!
Raising awareness of the environmental concerns and outright crisis we are in should take precedence over anything else.
And DC has got the best character to do this: but they simply do not.
You're right, of course - as usual, Luminous Luciano!
And Aquaman's P.R. rag-tag DC crew is WRONG - of course... as usual too!
I guess they feel they would either not be taken seriously - or some pinheads out there would think they are MOCKING very serious (grave) matters, happening now, out there, in the real world... if a fictional character like "ol'AQ" here suddenly started issuing messages about it, all over social media...
See how RIDICULOUS Captain America really is, whenever they use him in any way close to that... hmm?
Still...
I'd take into consideration anything BATWOMAN has to say that should be of concern to the LGBTQ community - particularly the lesbian community, OF COURSE! (heh-heh)
You keep posting those Aquaficionadas pics reminding us of that, too... DOUBLE "A"
As opposed to *me* - who posts (and created the term "aquaficionada" and its male counterpart "aquaficionado" ages ago; by the way!) on occasion some more of those pictorials simply to evoke man's (and woman's) communion with the WATER... in all its forms!
Sea (rather than merely SEE) dear Ann; it is all about our precious ENVIRONMENT indeed, here, on *aqua musings*... over and above all else!
Wish our readers, visitors, occasional (rare) commenters and certainly THE CO-AUTHOR would *KNOW* SO MUCH...!!!
Maybe, then, we'd have a blue whale of a chance of cleaning up our act - AND THE BIG BLUE TOO!
~My Mer-name is Glaucus Bioluminescence. Wow ~ even the Mer~folk agree that I am luminous! ~They identify me with a minor sea~deity though: Glaukos has nothing to do with glaucoma, at least ~~~ (thank God! The REAL GOD!) ~~~~ Oh... no; Glaukos gave its color to glaucoma... :( ~~ well, says they! ~~~~~~~~ Aegir, Poseidon, Triton and scores of others are more powerful than him, anyway... so there! Everything will be fine! The Aquaficionadas are on my side! :) ~ Take The Merfolk Name Generator Test anyway! ~ Created with Rum and Monkey's Name Generator.
... An LP Anthem to the end of a childhood dream...? By LP...
... and assorted aquatic tunes for your listening pleasure... (l.p.)...!
But now, for your reading pleasure... ISSUU - brought to you by... an Aquaficionada!
Look, below, on this luminous aqua-map: PROOF that the Earth is indeed 70% SEA WATER! Weep, batty ones! ;)
