AQUAMEN
Although it is rather pointless
at this conjoncture
-as JG has made no effort in this direction-
I feel tempted to repeat my feat
of, lo, many-many years ago...
When I shared my plans
for an AQUA EPIC
with DC editors... preditors...
the devoted fanbase
(on the defunct DC message boards...
and, ultimately, here on aqua musings...
And I showed that,
without a shadow of a doubt,
I was the one creative mind
who knew best
how to present the *Atlantis Chronicles*
of this hero Paul & Mort christened
AQUAMAN
It was my AQUA FORCE
- and it could have been
AWESOME.
At the present time,
the new DCU appears to have zero plans
for many of my favorite Justice Leaguers:
Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, Flash,
Cyborg, Zauriel, Captain Atom, Firestorm, Hawkman, Plastic Man...
and, yes, Aquaman.
I feel like it incumbs to me, once again,
to show them how it is DONE!
And so ~ here goes:
James Gunn appears to be exploring
all possibilities already
- including the return of the DCEU cast
in antagonistic roles.
The mere rumor of this
has got the MCU seemingly planning to,
again, steal the idea and jump the gun (!)
by doing just that with their
"Avengers Doomsday"
drivel
that already has RDJ back
not as Iron Man
but as Doctor Doom.
DC could easily cast all the heroes anew
(plus add
to their ranks -
welcome Mister Terrific and
Metamorpho, most notably...!)
while Henry Cavill could return as
Injustice Superman
or, better yet,
Kingdom Come Superman
{or, yes, Golden Superman!}
Ben Affleck as Thomas Wayne Batman
and Jason Momoa... as either Flashpoint's
Emperor Aquaman
or the Justice Lords'
Sea Lord!
[ON TOP OF LOBO, SI!]
And he'd confront the new actor
portraying the original,
true blue Aquaman
- what a way to pass the, er, trident!
Won't you beg to agree, now!? -
and yes - my vote at this time
for that actor would be...
This guy:
Ironically, he was co-starring there
with the one actress who is
the fanbase's top choice
to play the part of
POWER GIRL
~ and those who remember
know that Aquaman & Power Girl
shared some intimate moments
back in Europe...
At the time, DC preditorial (!)
had it that PG had
Atlantean ancestry
rather than creep... er... Kryptonian.
Arion was her grandpa.
Aquaman... a distant cousin.
Hey ~ D.C. !!!
This... kinship
could still exist in some other
parallel universe ~
somewhere in the Multiverse!
IN ANY CASE - THE MULTIVERSE IS KEY.
It was never Lois Lane... not really!
